1.      Community Focused Leadership – Council must act with a clear mandate from community, keeping residents informed and involved throughout decision-making processes – your voice matters.

2.      Rates Affordability – I support a no-frills, fit-for-purpose council that delivers essential services efficiently while keeping rates increases to a minimum. We face real financial pressures and environmental challenges - we must live within our means and plan wisely. 

3.      Local Economic Development – we need a business-friendly Council focused on accelerating housing development and environmentally sustainable growth that delivers opportunity that benefits all of community.

4.      Strategic Partnerships – we can’t afford Council to go it alone, and we’ll never achieve our vision without working together. Partnerships with iwi, government and others is key.

5.      Climate Change and Emergency Preparedness – investing in infrastructure that can withstand future challenges is vital.
